One of the hardest things is waiting. Being patient in this world, where you can access information and buy anything you want immediately. Baby was due 5 days ago.
My sister flew from Oregon to Ohio for 2 weeks (one week before and one week after the "due date") to be my doula.
She has helped me a lot already to prepare for the birth, by urging me to set up the birthing tub and massaging my legs and ankles and just talking about the birth, being a a supportive friend, which is so important. Thankfully, I also have a wonderful midwife, even if my sister isn't here for the baby's birth. One thing that I've never done before and she was hoping to do is encapsulate the placenta. So maybe my dear husband will do that, or me, if I can...
Have a wonderful weekend! I hope to share some good news soon.
The paradox of the homeless.
