Enjoy life sip by sip...

A card I made for a friend...
We enjoy tea, but after I dissolve a teaspoon of honey into the hot tea, I add an ice cube or two!
Swimming lessons started yesterday...here's a layout I did with some photos from last year. Olivia has the same teacher- Chris. Hannah has a new teacher- Tanner, because she's in Level 2 now. Both love it so far...it's been pretty warm, so it's refreshing to jump into the pool. I do remember some cool mornings, when they were a bit reluctant.

  7. OK missy, you can't post a layout that cute without telling us exactly how you did it! So I'm guessing it's painted paper -- looks like paint around the photos too? And what's the strip of "endless summer"? Twill tape? Stamped on paper? Very cute!

I also love the stitching on the card. Great job!

  8. *Sorry....yes, it's MM paint (celery), I used a foam brush and just painted an area (and brushed the edges of the photos with that brush). Then I wrote on it with my Creative Memories pen. I painted in the letters with watercolours. That's Heidi Swapp's "endless summer" tape.

  10. We're doing swim lessons this week, too! Gotta love the summer.

About your strawberries: What kind are you growing? We have Everbearing and they are supposed to bear through summer and into the early fall. One plant has been flowering and bearing just a bit at a time with long breaks between. The other doesn't have a single flower yet, but it is growing and growing. I'm hoping it will start flowering later in the summer. Plus, I've read they bear better the second year. So don't give out hope!!!

  11. Love the card! I'm a big tea drinker and that is adorable. You asked when my DH is leaving on deployment. He will be gone by August for training for three months and then heading overseas. :) Thanks for checking on us.
