Meow

two kittens looking for a good home!  They're 2 months old now.  We're keeping the two we got last year, who are now mothers.  

what's in our garden?  We have a lot of tomatoes, but something has been munching on them!  We plucked off 6 big hornworms this evening. 

the kittens here will be 6 weeks old tomorrow!  I'm worried for one who was pecked by a chicken...

we had our 1st lamb born on our farm Monday!

the Fenimore art museum had a Native American song and dance performance and it was beautiful!

my husband is digging a place for 2nd septic on our property.  The 1st one is on the other side and so can only be used by one house, not both of them.

our boys took an 8 week summer class that took place in under an apple tree, below.  We're grateful for our community here.  I'm learning about Charlotte Mason, reading her book Ourselves and When Children Love to Learn.  We've just started homeschooling again this week!  A self-portrait, after looking at print of the Mona Lisa, math games with cubes and reading Gail Gibbons The Moon Book were some of what we enjoyed.

one daughter will be here to visit us next month, the other started college classes this week and had a microbiology quiz today and got 100%

I miss them!

we harvested our first few pumpkins, gave a few to friends and baked one for us!
