We got a kitten from a friend today.
Yesterday we had a nice surprise. One of our hens brought out 9 little chicks that she hatched! I have no idea where, likely somewhere in the barn. Over the past month, we loaded our barn full of bales of hay to feed the animals over winter. We have 3 cows, about 15 sheep, 4 hogs, 6 bunnies, and now 3 cats, and over 50 chickens, if one counts the new chicks! Most of them are not yet laying, either they're too young, some are 4-5 months old, others are molting.
I have been sick this past week and haven't had the energy to cook. My husband ordered pizza one night. A video of Elijah with his 1st big slice of pizza to himself.
I am frustrated that I still can't seem to share photos here any longer.

What a wonderful farm you have going there -- a lot of work, I know! That must have thrilled you all to see all those chicks who are the fruit of your nurturing efforts.
I know Elizabeth (eroosje) has had a problem posting pictures for a long time, but she seems to say it is a phone problem. Are you also trying to post using your phone?
The WordPress app on my phone I don't like at all, for composing blog posts, but it is handy for uploading pictures from my phone on to my WP site, where I can then have them available when I write posts at my desktop. When I used Blogger I didn't have a smart phone. I hope you can figure something out, because I always love the pictures of your family, farm and church. <3
I hope you feel better soon!!
Aww new chicks are so sweet! We had a hen hatch out three over the summer. I'm sorry you're sick! I was sick the week before and Ellie last week. She got it worse, respiratory with a fever for five or six days. I hope you feel better soon!
Oh no. I'm sorry you're not able to share photos, Martha. I did watch (and liked) the video of Elijah eating that large slice of pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a cutie, and a sweetheart. I hope you were feeling well for Rhinebeck!
