Pens
Drawing has always been one of my favorite things to do. When I learned how to write, slowly it became something I enjoyed just to see what different kinds of fonts I could come up with...so of course, I have a fetish with pens! My parents gave me a lovely Cross fountain pen and the next year Rob gave me this cool Minka fountain pen....so of course later, I married him!
We're going to take Lusy for a walk now...it's only 6pm, but it's almost dark outside.
I'm glad we have freedom of speech in America! Here's a blog I've been following for a while now: http://moms4sarahpalin.blogspot.com/ Very prolific!
As to your posting about pens - sigh - aren't they great? I used to love getting a new pen and playing with it, just like you were saying, trying out new handwriting, etc. It happened with me as far back as those great Bic (I think) four in one pens - we thought we were living large having one of those to write in (gasp) four different inks!
LOVE the LO! I love those buttons framing the picture! You reminded me of my dad. He used to LOVE those kinds of pens. I LOVED using them, but dad didn't quite appreciate it ;) Oh, Martha! You mention the freedom of speech and I shiver. I'm not quite sure how long we will have it. You know how hard they've been trying to shut up Rush, Sean, Savage, Medvel and the like. I'm really worried about our beautiful country...
I love to write. It's my way of expressing emotions, most of the time. Although, English is my 3-4th language - my grammar isn't perfect or smooth !. An old boyfriend gave me a PEN, for many years I kept it... b'cuz he said " I LOVE TO WRITE & HE COULDN"T think of anything else to get me - but a PEN , so I can write !". I'd rather get a PEN, than JEWELRY ! HELLO BONJOUR ! we went to France yesterday.
You're layout is awesome! Love the stamped vine, very pretty. Thanks for the blog link!:) I heard "they" are going to start banning bake sales at schools and churches because it doesn't have the nutrition label. Gosh, what next!
I will check that blog out. I LOVE Sarah Palin!

ReplyDeleteI've begun making Christmas cards and have been wishing I had your talent of making up fonts. Maybe it'd help if I try to learn calligraphy first...

ReplyDeleteI love fountain pens too. I lost mine ages ago, and have been too cheap to replace it. But seriously, life is too short for junky pens, am I right?
