Leaves

We went to my parent's house to rake leaves. What fun and a great workout!
Mom gave me this geranium on the day Hannah was born...this summer I took a cutting of it, planted it in soil and it was doing well, new buds and blossoms. Then a frost, I should've taken it indoors a few weeks earlier. It may make it...

  1. Leaves are so fun. My daughter is loving her first real autumn--She loves to pick the pretty red ones and and stuff them in her pockets, and, of course, she loves crunching through them. Once we tried burying her lap in a big pile, and OH MY...we forgot that she is a sort of neat freak :)

Don't you just love how hardy geraniums are?

  2. My kids love playing in the leaves when we rake them! I do need to take some belly shots, but my camera batteries are dead. We are all still sick here:( Hopefully it passes soon!

  3. Do you overwinyter your geraniums? I'd really like to try this year. Do you just bring the whole pot inside?

  4. Ahhh, Fall. I love this time of year. The last two days have been rainy and gray. The leaves are falling and we all want to just snuggle up, read and drink hot chocolate.

    Great shot of your mom!

  5. playing in leaves - boy, that brings a myriad of memories.

I used to rake them and then play in them with our dog. I swear she loved it as much as I did!

Your geranium will make it - it may be a bit shocked but they are hardy plants.

  6. oh, WOW!!! You have a green thumb!!! My grandma used to call that a "little foot". She would ask you, "can I have a little foot of your plant?" and she would take just a little piece, and make it bloom from there... You reminded me of taht beautiful woman. thanks! ;)
PS.- I'm pretty sure your geranio (in Spanish) WILL make it!

  7. What a sweet flower story, the day Hannah was born, sniff, sniff! Gorgeous.

I love the Fall photos, I can almost smell them.

On a side note, I think your county was featured in TIME a couple of weeks ago, I read it and thought "I know someone from there"

  8. The leaves look like fun. How wonderful that you still have that plant. I have one from when I was in college. It was one of my anchors to reality. It is still alive too.
