love

Valentine's day balloon for him & chocolate hearts for the girls.  Nothing for the baby, but next year, he would like a balloon.  He has been looking at this one intently the past few days.  Someone special got the boys each a soft stuffed animal:
We're peeling off the plastic & painting the kitchen cabinets (if it were nice wood, we wouldn't, but it's particle board), and it's looking fresh & pretty!
Love these 4 kids:
Paul & I went to the chiropractor yesterday and got adjusted.
We went to IKEA.

comfort food

When it's cold outside and snowing, or rainy, as it has been here for days...you need comfort food!  Red onions & green peppers!
A spinach quiche.  I do love using cast iron.   it took me several years to appreciate it and get used to the iron taste and realize that a little iron from the skillet is fine.
We made homemade dough and then pizza!
Meatballs...
Also, a mushroom quiche!

warm

Snowy & cold one day...warm the next.
Look who is 3 months old already!
 Wearing my glasses!
It's official.  The weather is crazy! 6 F for the high last Wed. 64 F on Sun. I love snow, but I'm glad for the warm weather.  We went hiking in the woods.  What kind of weather have you been having?
The wee hat is cute, but too small for 3 month old George.  Still, it would be good for a newborn.  I'm casting on another with the rest of the yarn (I used our kitchen scale to weigh the finished hat: 22 grams, and confirmed that there's:  28 grams left, of the 50 g skein, enough to make a one a bit larger) starting off with 60 instead of 50 stitches across.
After Olivia's dance performance:
