Everyone is asking the same thing...

Today we had an appointment with the midwife.  We have passed the official "due date" and are eager to meet this wee one.  All is well, baby is moving and heart rate sounds good.  I will post photos when baby arrives...everyone is asking, "When is the baby going to come?" "How are you doing?"

Olivia and my sister, Andrea, who has returned to Oregon...we had such a nice visit while they were here.

Hide-n-seek

This is one of the best places to hide.
Across the street from my mom's, they demolished a nice ranch house, which they've done a lot recently around here, building a "McMansion" in the place, it makes me kind of sad.  Everyone wanted to go check it out, so far, they've dug a big hole for the basement.
My nephew, Timothy, will be 18 months tomorrow.
This is my sister and her husband and 2 kids who live in Canada who came for a visit...
We made chocolate mustache cookies with my nephews from Portland, Oregon, who were here for a visit.
It's been really nice to have so much family around lately.  I volunteered for a week in July at ORPR camp, and our girls stayed 3 weeks more, here and here are photos.

P.S. I made a poll (https://plus.google.com/u/0/112017259860349577192/posts) if you want to join in guessing if we're going to have a boy or girl, I'd love to see the results.  All of my sisters have had boys lately, but they all came before their "due date."

Waiting

One of the hardest things is waiting.  Being patient in this world, where you can access information and buy anything you want immediately.  Baby was due 5 days ago.
My sister flew from Oregon to Ohio for 2 weeks (one week before and one week after the "due date") to be my doula.
She has helped me a lot already to prepare for the birth, by urging me to set up the birthing tub and massaging my legs and ankles and just talking about the birth, being a a supportive friend, which is so important.  Thankfully, I also have a wonderful midwife, even if my sister isn't here for the baby's birth.  One thing that I've never done before and she was hoping to do is encapsulate the placenta.  So maybe my dear husband will do that, or me, if I can...

Have a wonderful weekend!  I hope to share some good news soon.

Yesterday came and went...

August 16, 2015 was the due date.  We're ready to meet this baby, but guess baby isn't ready yet.  I hope this week one day...

Exactly a week ago, I was getting off the highway and a woman rear-ended me, making the bumper come off and bending the frame of the van (we'd gotten just 6 weeks ago) so that it's now totaled.  We're so sad, because it was a great car.  BUT thank God, everyone was unharmed.

Pray all goes well with labor for us, as baby turned after that incident.  Today, I went to a chiropractor who adjusts pregnant woman and I feel much better.

My birthday

Last week was my birthday, I'm now 38 years old.  My husband and I rented a tandem kayak, it was so hot, but really nice to do something together and see all the nature.
