Thinking...

Your move... We have been playing lots of games lately: chess, monopoly, scrabble, sorry, go-fish, jenga, et cetera. One day last week, I come home from work to see Rob and the girls in the midst of a game of monopoly. They finished it in about 3 hours (ate lunch in between). So much fun learning going on...this is homeschooling. To make $100, you can use 2 $50s, or 5 $20s... This morning before work, Olivia asked me to play a game of chess with her. She beat Hannah yesterday!

I found this photo on my camera. Hannah saw me take a self-portrait in the mirror (my small profile photo on the right)!

Hannah (wearing pink cowboy boots, too) and Dad playing the "other" guitar.

I like to see how the toys are used...that's a compact used for a round table & 2 My Little Pony pink shoes used for bowls.

Great photos! I wish we lived closer to you all!!!

I also love seeing how the girls use toys in different ways. They are so creative! The girls have this love of ribbons and yarn and the like.

Super cute toy uses. As a kid I used all sorts of things to make my barbie houses. :)

Hi Martha, coming in to let you know you've been tagged. I *love* the first photo of your daughter. She wants to me like her mama.

So sweet. I love when kids use their imagination and make things with their toys (or just rocks & sticks). xoxo Chris

I love how you captured the girls playing together...it is priceless. Playing games together is so much more healthy than anything electronic.

You are doing a great job with them.

I hope this teeny weeny grammar correction won't hurt your feelings. As a home schooler I always tried to be careful of this but I'm sure I made my share of mistakes. :) (I now teach in a public school.) Here it is: You're means "you are". I always teach my students to check and see if they really mean to say "you are" or just "your". Love your blog!

Such a great post. I remember taking my sisters' cosmetics and curlers and using them for all sorts of accessories for my toys. It was fun for me but oh, how they hated having to search my dollhouse for their stuff.

Sandi...
Thank YOU for the correction! I'm embarassed. I like to think I'm conscientious and my grammar is right...most of the time! :)
I changed it from YOU'RE to YOUR. Whew!

MArfa,

Would you consider writing a post about how you logicstically go about working and homeschooling? I am SO interested!

I really love that first photo of the girls playing Chess! It is stunning and sweet to look at. You are so talented and creative - I wish I could make my own Pascha cards, baby announcements, etc. I hope you and your family have a blessed Lent! :)
