One of my favorite books by Peter Spier:
I enjoy his books because they either have few words or no words at all, but you can look at his illustrations and make up stories...be creative. Perfect for a child or adult. His Christmas and Circus are a couple of my favorites. My sister was just telling me about a storytelling workshop that is coming up. Then, my mom said she just got "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. I do love a good book. This week, my uber fun Aunt Sarah came with her son, Gideon. He is my littlest cousin. More than 30 years span... In the photo above, we spent time with my dad on his 60th birthday and posed for a picture. Sarah is Dad's little sister. He had a great time in our sandbox and on the trampoline. They live in Vermont. She brought raspberry preserves, that she made herself. Mmmm...they were scrumptious on homemade crepes with yogurt.
The paradox of the homeless.

birth of the homeless should be celebrated in every home.” -G.K. Chesterton

Martha, I love that black and white shot of your family! I also love the "People" book - Elijah, especially, was very fascinated by it when he was younger. We read, "The Help" as a book club a couple of months ago, and I could NOT put it down! Oooh, I adore good books! : )
