Me and 2 of my little sisters on the front steps of our home in Boston about 1983.
I started this blog.... 4 years ago today! It's officially my blogiversary (thank you, Urban Dictionary for that new word and definition). How times flies. I loved that coconut sorbet I wrote about in my first ever post, but Trader Joe's doesn't sell it anymore (my sister can make a really good coconut sorbet in her Kitchen Aid mixer ice cream maker). However, I recently discovered these:
$1.99 for a scrumptious package of sliced bananas covered in chocolate, frozen. I bought and shared 2 packs of them this week. I'm going to try making some...as I prefer homemade everything.
The paradox of the homeless.

how adorable! Happy Blogiversary! I'm so glad to have had the chance to get to know you.
Those look tasty! We don't have any Trader Joe's in Colorado, but we always like to go when we visit my grandma in Huntington Beach, CA. She has one right across the street!
Congratulations on your blogiversary! I'm glad to know the proper spelling of that word now. :-) Sharing of another TJ's goodie is the perfect way to commemorate your 4 years.
I love having met you here at your blog. I hope it, and our friendship, continue for a long time.
Happy Blogiversary (apparently I've been spelling it wrong)
yay on 4 years! trader joes has some good things! that would be a nice thing to have in Ottawa...
Happy Blogiversary! You reminded me that it's my blogiversary, too! I wish we had a Trader Joe's where I live, but alas we do not.
As for the praying mantises, they eat all sorts of little insects. Ours was in a potted plant so I kept the soil moist so as to attract those little gnats. I hope you can a get some pictures of them. Good luck!
Happy Blogiversary! I've never bought those bananas, but I have eyed them before. I remember when I was I in high school they sold chocolate covered frozen bananas on a stick at Kings Island, and I loved them. I think they were called Frozanas. They were dipped in nuts, too, as I recall, but that may have been optional. I wonder if they still sell those. I think the slices would be easy to make. I may have to try it!
