You are very right - it is so nice to receive actual mail. I think it is important to teach our children to write letters.
I agree. Getting a letter in the mail makes my day. However short it may be.
So true, Martha, so true! I love getting a letter in the mail from a friend. An e-mail just isn't the same...
You are so right sweetie! I am challenged to do just that tomorrow. I'll get the kids to write to their Grams & Pops & Aunts...it'll be such fun!

Here's a recipe for you for lent:
Mexican Style Red Greek Lentil Soup
½ Cup Olive Oil
1/3 Cup of Balsamic Vinegar
2 Quarts Water
1 Cup chopped Celery
1 Cup sliced Carrots
1 Cup chopped Onions
1 Gallon can of Tomatoes
2 cloves of Garlic
1 teaspoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 lb. of Lentils
Salt & Pepper to taste
1-2 Teaspoons of a moderately hot Hot Sauce, to taste*
* Preferably Pickapeppa Red which comes in a 3 oz. bottle(not Pickapeppa Brown which comes in a 5 oz. bottle!).
Put everything but the Oregano and Cumin into a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer an hour. Add Oregano & Cumin. Simmer 30 minutes more or until lentils are sufficiently soft. Serve.
If this recipe is out of place, you can certainly repost it when you need it.
Regards

Very cute!
I wholeheartedly agree! We are behind (but that is usual) on getting our heart-shaped grids out to sew some yarn for the grandparents and the like =)
Hope it's a good one for you!
