The Godparents

We asked my little sister, Andrea, and our friend, John, to be Godparents.
Smiles in anticipation...good to see cousins, getting ready, camera and batteries, helping to light candles.

That was my dad's icon of St. Paul the Simple, which my mom gave to our little one.
On Sunday, Paul was presented in the church, and brought into the altar.
And the Godfather picked him up and took him to Communion.
The Godfather and his family.
Three of my sisters and our boys.

That's so sweet! Many years, little Paul! It looks he was so calm during the service.
Like in your case, my dear dad passed away while I was pregnant two years ago. My husband decided we would give the baby my dad's name and we did.
May our dads be in Christ's light and our children be blessed and be loving Christians!

This is wonderful! I wish I had had the traditions, blessing and sacraments of the Orthodox Church to guide and carry me and my babies in their first weeks of life.
