Pretty radish seedlings...

Slim and red stems with little leaves of green on top, soon to be radishes. These are some of the seeds we planted 2 weeks ago (indoors, by a window facing south). Rob made some cold frames this week (using old windows from a friend's house) and we're still trying to figure out what to do about the load of manure and getting the ground tilled... I crocheted a simple headband for myself. Saturday, I went to the library's knitting group. There was a pretty big group: Matushka Bethany, Hannah, myself, Miss G, Katie, Carla, Carol, Joan, Cecilia (a sweet lady who is from Ukraine, but Jewish) and a lady who brought 3 children with her, too. We'll meet up again in 2 weeks.

We really need to get a start on our garden. The headband looks great. I'll ask my mom for the recipe. She doesn't always have stuff written down though. lol

It took me a minute to figure out what you were holding, grin!

Yes, very cool!! I am so impressed by your gardening (and knitting)skills! I love visiting your blog because I always leave inspired, or at least uplifted by your appreciation for the simple beauty in every day life.

Thank you, by the way, for your nice comment. It made my day. :)

I love spring! Some of our beans just sprouted too, it's so awesome!

The headband is adorable! Any way you can post the pattern? I'd love to make one! Does it fit tightly?

Hope everything is going well with your lovely little family!!

hey chica,

cool headband! so you want to know more about my grandpa? I have a cool obituary from last July on my blog that tells all the cool historical stuff about him, but his health at the end was really just affected by stroke after stroke after stroke, a very slow, gradual decline over the last ten years. I grew up very close to my grandparents since they lived 3 blocks away. I spent much more time with them than I think is typical for the average person. I was really blessed in that way. My grandma just passed away about a month ago. It is still too painful for me to talk about though, I had a really really really close relationship with her...If you have more questions about grandpa, just email me-inara77@gmail.com

I'm so jealous over your blooming garden! We'd love to start one but I don't think I have the mental capacity at the moment to take care of it. Maybe when the kids are a little older and we can integrate it into homeschool somehow. Anyway, thanks for the compliment on my music! I love your list! And thanks for introducing me to Ingrid Michaels! :)

I love radishes!! Ours are already popping out of the ground ready to eat. Although I would love to live someplace more beautiful, gardening year round (almost), is a benefit.

I love Sring! It's my favorite season by far.
