I'm making wrist warmers...
...and shawls for gifts. Simple. Homemade. The yarn is usually $2.99 for a 100 gram skein of this 100% cotton yarn at Hobby Lobby, it was on sale last week for just $1.99. I used 2 skeins, the fringe took up a lot! Hannah helped me do the fringe Saturday afternoon. So fun to work on a project together.
I'm learning how to knit better. Just practicing my "continental style" of knitting...think that will be good...I really want to make that hat, but need to perfect my knitting first. I have double pointed needles....already knit a hat...alas, used for teddy bears...
Most of my knitted items are random sizes, rectangles...whatever. So, I'm going to start KNITTA here in Cincinnati...anyone want to join me?
P.S. Go check out their main website above & this flickr photostream....Magda led a project to cover a city bus in Mexico...mostly crocheted items! So cool.

This year is extra full for me, during the festal season, because a LOT of
family are coming to my house, a bunch of them for nine blessed nights,
from all...

Did you really post this at 3:59 AM? Gosh. I really hope not. Your shawls are beautiful - keep up the good work. I love you.

I love the shawl. ... you make me want to give knitting and crocheting another try.
The shawl is beautifuL! I have to say I like the wrist warmers because I think here in Chicago everyone can use them!!!
i wish you would blog more, i LOVE reading them and seeing your pictures. I understand you are much more busy than me though. Love you,
Lori
Your knitting is way better than mine. I tried too hats. One came out too small, so I made another small one and I'm sending it to my friend who has twin 2 year old girls. Then I made another one for me, and it's a tad too big, but I wear it anyway. {{hugs}}
Love the 'knit graffiti'!! Think we can get gangs to start doing more of that?!?!? Knitting is on my list of thing to learn how to do. I am obssessed with little woolen baby pants. They are quite pricy so I figure I'd better learn to knit quick. We'll see if it happens for my own kids or if I'll finally learn the skill for grandkids!!!!!
Scrumptious...this is STUMPTIOUS (lol) from Middletown, Ohio! Didn't realize we were almost neighbors! I've been longing to do some Knitta myself! Keep me posted if you get some other takers...maybe we can start a little group blog or something?
