Conservatives

I have a ton of photos to scrapbook, from the recent weddings, our church's Russian Fest, the trip to Iron's last weekend...to mention a few. I really love hanging out with my family. My sisters and I had manicures and pedicures, then went out to lunch one day during the summer. That picture is one of my favorites.

I got a McCain yard sign and car magnet. I've seen many Obama ones and feel like sometimes people might not realize how many McCain supporters there are... It's closer than you may think. It's our duty to go out and vote...I hope each and everyone of you think things through and vote. Nov. 4th I'll be there bright and early!

Now, look at these precious photos. McCain and Palin MAY be politicians, but they are real people, too:

Personally, I consider myself a crunchy conservative. If you see me at the grocery store, I'll have a cloth bag, to conserve water, we have 2 sixty-gallon barrels to collect rain water, for our garden, when it came time to feed my babies, I nursed them, because that's the best thing for them, what God created women with breasts for and why waste the plastic or glass on bottles? I wish I had used cloth diapers, but everyone has to make choices. I do what I can to be conscientious and take care of our earth. Overall, I'd say I'm a tradition-loving person, I like to do things in an old-fashioned way, I'm not for big CHANGE.

While I still don't know who I am voting for, I enjoyed this post. You're right when you say that they're real people. Sometimes we get lost in what the media shows us, but we have to remember that they are also human beings, with a heart and soul just like us. Nice post :)

I love your sisters' photo. I sometimes miss my family, being away so far. I agree about conserving & taking care of the earth, I am learning here in Germany. RECYCLING is a LAW. Americans are spoiled, I go on base & they don't recycle much & commisary are abundance of plastic bags. Ya know in GERMAN local stores, you have to buy the plastic bags for 10 cents ? it's not FREE.

Oh you guys look so cute all together. It makes me miss my family so much more! God-willing we'll be up there this winter so the boys can play in the snow.

I'm so undecided this election, I don't know who I'm voting for either. I usually vote Republican but I'm really unsure this year. I'm worried if something doesn't give with the economy we can kiss the middle class goodbye and I'm not sure McCain is concerned enough. On the other hand, there are a lot of things I don't like about Obama either. I'm at a complete loss! Pray for me! :)

Hope all is well with you and that beautiful family of yours.

BTW, did you ever receive your string beans??

Great pics! That one of you and your sisters is perfect. I have been using cloth diapers for child #5 and I wish I had thought to check them out for the first four!!!!

I love the picture of you and your sisters! I am enjoying your honesty about your political views, too often we see people with different opinions in a negative light and not as the kind and free thinking Americans that we all are (hopefully!). I am ready for some change but I can see both sides and think some compromise and compassion is in order!

I am a conservative republican...always have been and always will be. I don't understand how anyone could be undecided, the stakes are too high. Get educated and vote!

LOVE yous post, Martha!
Your sisters and you are just such a CUTE bunch! And how cool can it be to go together for manicures and lunch... I'm green with envy!

I also have a McCain-Palin sign on our fron yard. I am and will always be a conservative... it's just the right thing for me and my family. We are incredibly political. Our 14 year old is so into politics, too, we believe he'll do a great politician one day ;)
Hugs, my friend! Great post!

What terrific pictures! I can't wait to see how you scrap them :)

I enjoyed reading this post. I think a lot of people are being easily swayed by Obama's slick political moves. I'm with you, and I'll be out there voting, too!!

Love your blog and love that you're for McCain even more! Don't feel bad about not using cloth diapers. DH just read me an article about how the UK found that disposable diapers were better for the environment than cloth ones.
