I got Half the Sky (non-fiction, stories gathered by Nicholas D. Kristof and his wife, Sheryl WuDunn) from the library, a really dramatic book about women who are treated so poorly in other countries, and how they can turn around their lives (with help from us). It a hard book to read as it's sad to hear what women have to endure...I thank God I was born in America and have a voice. I'm also reading Christmas Train (fiction, by David Baldacci).

I thiink we could all use a shawl on these cooler days -- yours are very sweet.
our fall here is sunny one day and then grey the next... all my best to you!
I know a blog you would really enjoy...it is all dioramas that have been made into a book... go to mouseshouses on blogspot... the woman makes all the mice herself.
Cute little shawl...have fun. I have been out photographing butterflies and such and both my blogs have some new posts...but no indoor creativity to speak of.
I LOVE your bird shawls!! So funny - I was just chatting with friends the other day, saying that my chickens are so deep into molting season, half look naked! We were joking about having a benefit crochet party to make shawls for all of the chilly chickens out there ;)
How very sweet of your daughter.
Love the little shawls ~ cute.
lovely photos, I especially like the one in the woods. The book sounds too sad for me.
how adorable!
That is such a sweet shawl for the little birdie to keep warn while your weather cools.
Enjoy the colours and tripping through the leaves.
